Floors are rather dirty.

The Metro station with an artificial palm tree... Old, painted film rolls attached to the wall give a real Hollywood feeling.

The design of this station is great, from the film real roof to the donated cameras on the mezzanine, a perfect set up for the walk of fame.

Stepping from the confines of the Red Car into the grandeur of the Hollywood/Vine Metro Station, we enter the Golden Age of Hollywood. The station is a homage to the real tinsel that built the studios. The walls are decorated with hand-painted tiles documenting movie history. The ceiling is covered with 35mm/400 foot film reels; still empty, waiting to hold tomorrow's magic. There are giant arc projectors standing by, and a grove of artificial palm trees. Street musicians fill the room with live underscore. (Dropping a few coins is appreciated.) A glass walled elevator whisks you to the "Walk of Fame." Electronic systems provide security and information. "Teleprompters" announce train arrivals. Everything is wheelchair accessible. Need reality? There are no bathrooms available.

FADE IN:

After getting dropped off by the FlyAway shuttle, I venture off to this station to ride to Hollywood/Highland. Yes, there is ton to see while going there. I was on a mission to reach my destination so did minimum sightseeing but noticed the stars decorating the ground. Very easy to get around. Bought my TAP card here and added my fare. A guy asking for fare said nobody would help. Said he only needed a little to go home but when I agreed to help, he said he had to go to San Francisco. WHAT?!?! CON ARTIST!! I grabbed whatever change I could find in a short time and added it to his card.

Direction signs are clear to understand.

The best Subway Station on the Red Line.

FADE TO BLACK.

Traveling through the inky blackness of the underground, we see, off in the distance, a hint and then a BLAST of Hollywood.

Here's how an action film script might describe the Hollywood and Vine Metro Station. In color and real 3D, of course.

CUT TO:

A fun subway station.

The station needs more security. Because it is used as home by scavengers.
